The Lonestar Monster Nationals Points series is starting to run very close so all the guys were hyped up for the weekend, ready to run hard and gain points!
Friday Night Strait Jacket won the wheelie competition. We had a water pump issue but the crew worked hard and put fans and bags of ice on the engine block keeping it cool between rounds. Strait Jacket finished the night up with a great freestyle.The next morning the crew made repairs to the truck and got it all ready for the Saturday night show.
Saturday night Strait Jacket won wheelies again! During wheelies SJ broke a safety ring on the drive shaft loop but thanks to crew member Justin Smith, the truck was repaired and made all its passes in racing taking the third place slot. Then it was time for freestyle!!!!! All the trucks ran hard and put on an swesome show, but the crowd stood in applause for Strait Jacket!!! After getting some big air and great wheelies Strait Jacket cross threaded the van stack and checkered flags in the stands went up like crazy! Kevin finished the freestyle with a great donut where he thru his steering wheel out the window mid spin then continued to make hits with NO STEERING WHEEL!
All in all a great weekend in TEXAS! Now the crew is ready to get Strait Jacket all tuned in and cleaned up for a big show in Chatham LA at Jones Motor Speedway!!!
