Team Strait Jacket had a great weekend in Chatham Louisana at Jones Motor Speedway. A patriotic track set the mood for this wicked awesome show. Trucks made wheelie hits during intros to get the crowd on thier feet! Then the trucks competed in a BIG AIR contest where Strait Jacket took home the win!!!!
FOUR school buses painted in red, white, and blue created an intimidating track where monster trucks raced J Hook style long ways across the buses with a gut wrenching cross finish! Then it was time to freestyle…Strait Jacket had a picture perfect slap wheelie to start his freestyle.
Then he hit every obstacle on the track from every direction possible never loosing momentum. Of course he did a couple donuts then Kevin jumped the bus stacks from nose to tail light back to back!
When it was time for the crowd cheer off STRAIT JACKET WON!!!
“I love running in the Chatham area, the fans are so sincere and energetic,” stated Kevin. Team Strait Jacket hopes to be back in that area for another show within the next few months!
Kevin would like to say a big thank you to Mike Phelps and Billy Sims for running the track and making sure the show ran smooth. They did a great job, as always! Also a big thanks to Sheila Phelps for running the merchandise booth during the show, making sure the fans got to purchase their SJ gear as well as checkered flags! Kevin would also like to thank his crew chief, Jenn and his crew guy Justin for keeping the truck in top notch shape despite the heat and long days. “Southern Excitement Motorsports really is a TEAM I am proud to be part of. We have lots of good things in store over the next year and I am glad to be working with the best of the best,” says Kevin. Team Strait Jacket is taking a couple weeks off to work on the truck and celebrate Kolbys first birthday!
