El Paso County Coliseum – El Paso, TX 1/13-14/12

AMP Tour, and Team SoExMo rolled in to El Paso this weekend for two nights of wheelies, racing, freestyle, FMX, and tuff trucks. Plus a for the first time ever motorcycle demo derby.  Friday mourning we would start off with a display to show off the Strait Jacket to the Texas fans. Friday night’s show started off with FMX doing some crazy big tricks and had the fans on their feet. Next up was the monster wheelie contest 1/2 Pint was first with a great wheelie then SJ took the track and went vertical twice over the stacks. Viper, Unnamed Untamed, and nasty boy finished up the wheelies and when it was all over Unnamed Untamed was deemed the winner. Racing would prove to be a problem for SJ Friday night, loose dirt on the starting line caused SJ to blow the tires out on the start an get put out by Viper in round one.  Freestyle was the final event of the night and after one hit 1/2 Pint broke and pulled off the track,SJ came out wide open hitting everything in the building, cross threading the racing lanes and even getting up on the side walls one time. Viper and Nasty Boy followed SJ with great runs but when it was all over Strait Jacket was crowned winner of freestyle.  Saturday showed to have problems right away, SJ broke a steering ram pulling out of the building after the pit party but with some quick work from team SJ and team Viper we had it fixed and ready before the show started. Wheelies came down to a cheer off between SJ and Unnamed and Untamed and the win was givin to Unnamed an Untamed. (we should have won)  Racing was better Saturday but SJ would have to settle for 3rd. Freestyle was great SJ was on kill and was looking to repeat a win. With lots of momentum SJ hit every thing, flying from one end to the other, then blasted a doughnut and threw the steering wheel out the window and continued to freestyle with out it. SJ made several more hits and then came out to salute the screaming fans. After the other trucks ran it was once again a cheer off and to the dislike off most of the crowd the win was givin to Viper.   We all loaded up and ready to head over to Alvarado for the first of the Lonestar Promotions season opener.   LOOK OUT TEXAS!!! STRAIT JACKET IS COMING!!!!!!!!!! www.amptour.com

Bo Jangles Coliseum – Charlotte, NC 1-6-12

Things got started off this year for team SoExMo in Charlotte, North Carolina for the CFP tour.  This first quarter is sure to be one of our busiest yet.  SJ was ready to go battle it out with Clydesdale and the legendary Bigfoot.  Friday night would prove to be a bad night for us with the loss of a rear steering ram in intros and then a transmission in freestyle. Saturday was long and hard but the weather was beautiful and the spare parts were in the trailer,  so me an dad went to work an got it all back together an ready for Saturday night.  What a better night it was, the slick clay track showed once again to slick to hook up good in racing an put us out in round one but freestyle was the goal for us an after a few good hits and a small slap wheelie we took home the freestyle win.  We are headed over to El Paso this week so stay tuned for more.

Swainsboro Ga Monster Mash

This was one of the best shows team SJ has had all year. It was only 2 hours from home and was full of friends and family and a lot of new fans. Five trucks came to do battle at the monster mash in wheelie contest, racing, and freestyle.  The day would start off  with the Swainsboro mud bog where the fans would get to see some of the south’s baddest mud trucks try to make the full 200′ mud pit that hasn’t been conquered all year.  Team SoExMo was on hand with our mud racing truck to try our chances with the impassable mud pit. Kevin took the Anticipation mud truck to the line as the first driver of the day and 5.54 seconds later became the first truck to defeat the Swainsboro mud bog. (and was the only truck to make a full pull all day)    The monster truck show started at 7:00 with a halloween costume contest for the kids an had the monster truck drivers as judges, after our scary little winners were picked and awarded the drivers went to their trucks to get ready for the show. Bad News Travels Fast, Outtacontrol, Ballistic, Monkey-n-around, and Strait Jacket were ready to show out for the Georgia crowd and thats just what happened. Intros would see a monster truck parade out onto the front stretch with Monkey and SJ flying out onto the track hitting the race lanes and spinning doughnuts before sliding up to the wall.  Wheelie contest was full of big sky wheelies but in the end the crowd favorite went to Strait Jacket, giving SJ its first win of the night. Racing was the most fun track we have ran on all year. Each lane had a right and left turn, as well as two sets of cars to hit making the finish line in the middle of the front stretch with the monster trucks crossing by each other in the air as they flew to the finish. SJ would meet Monkey in the final round but the win would go to Monkey-n-around by just a matter of inches. Freestyle was awesome every truck had big air, doughnuts, and left the fans screaming for more. but when the dust settled Strait Jacket was standing tall once again an was crowded freestyle champion.  It was a great show and an awesome weekend. Team SoExMo would like to thank the guys and gals form Swainsboro Raceway, Lonestar Promotions, Triple Threat Racing, and extreme motorsports for all of their help an support this weekend.
